In hospital and public health services:Junior doctorsIn the most junior hospital post (foundation year 1) a doctor would earn a basic salary of ?20,741. This would increase in the second year (foundation year 2) to ?25,882. A doctor in specialist training could earn from ?29,000 to ?44,000.In addition a doctor in training would be paid a banding supplement determined by: the amount of hours worked over 40 hours a week the intensity of a doctor\'s workload the amount of work carried out at unsocial times Banding supplements pay 20% to 80% of the basic salary. The most common supplement paid is 50%. A typical doctor, five years after graduating from medical school, on a 50% banding supplement would be earning approximately ?48,000. Tutto chiaro? bye

Ops, sento il calore della lampada puntata in faccia?(i pi? acuti tra di voi avranno capito la battuta). So bene l?inglese?

:D 1: I am currently in Germany at Medical School in my final year (MA E\' COME SE FOSSE UN ITALIANO A SCRIVERE IN QUANTO MEMBRI DELL\' UE). If i do not do my registration year in Germany can I apply for Foundation 1 and if I do my registration year in Germany can I apply for Foundation Year 2?See the website for eligability but if you have never undertaken a registration year in your own country then you are unable to be eligable for foundation year one. If you have undertaken registration You are eligible to apply for stand alone (headroom) posts at FY2. These are advertised by trusts themselves and their is no national application system. These jobs are not numerous. When you have had enough experience/ show evidence of reaching competencies you can enter ST1. In practice your decision should be to either stay for a registration year and then stay another year in Germany or leave Germany after medical school and undertake Fy1 and Fy2 in UK. 2. Can I move to another Foundation School/Deanery?If you are considering this you must arrange a meeting with your Foundation School Director before the F1-F2 Allocation process closes. The deadline for Interdeanery Transfer is December 15th 2006 3. Can I take time out of the Foundation Programme?Doctors who want time out of their Foundation Programme (TOFP) should, in the first instance, discuss this with their educational supervisor and Foundation School Director. You should also refer to section 74 of the ?Operational Framework for Foundation Training? for further guidance (see www.mmc.nhs.uk ). 4. I need to do a specialty in F2 to get into higher training can you ensure that this can happen? This is not the case. Please refer to the "Principles for Entry to Specialist Training" which was published by PMETB on 19 January 2006. (see www.pmetb.org.uk ). 5. If I am allocated to a post that I chose but no longer want, can I withdraw and apply for a stand-alone post? You must only select posts that you are prepared to take. The process of allocating you to a post means that it is not available for someone else who might want it. Although the allocation process is not a formal offer of employment, your behaviour in the process should be consistent with your responsibility as a doctor to behave in a professional manner. You cannot hold on to a programme in the School while you apply for stand-alone posts. If you wish to apply for stand-alone posts, you must formally withdraw from your Foundation School and risk not securing an F2 post in the competitive application process for stand-alone F2s. If you decide to withdraw formally from your Foundation School, you can only do so after discussion with your Foundation School Director and confirming, in writing, your wish to withdraw.6. I understand that F1 trainees from outside London will have priority for F2 posts within London? That is correct. The first phase of the process will allocate posts to F1 doctors who are completing F1 outside London and wish to return to London for F2. If you wish to return to London for F2, please note that your first 10 programme preferences must be in London Deanery Trusts. 7. Which Trusts are in London Deanery? (sono i siti degli ospedali dove cercare le vacancies)Refer to the list of Trusts and their website links in the "participating trusts" section of this site (ve lo fornisco io: www.netfs.org.uk/trusts1.html 8. I am in a London Trust at the moment and wish to stay. What should I do? You are not excluded from applying for London Deanery programmes, but you will be at a lower priority than those F1 trainees working outside London. This means that if you fill up all or most of your choices on London posts, and there are none left over after the first phase of the process, you will have fewer choices listed for posts you would like outside London and may therefore be disadvantaged 9. May I stay in a non London Deanery Trust for F2? If you would like to stay you will need to apply for your F2 posts in the same Trusts or locally, putting a range of choices at or near the top. It is advised that you apply for more than one trust, however, as popular trusts are often over-subscribed, and if your score is low you would be at risk of not obtaining a post if you limit your options too much.10. I like being in a DGH but have been told that I need a teaching hospital post for career reasons. Does it make any difference where I do my foundation years?Foundation training is generic and about becoming a competent doctor. Excellent experience and training is available in all the trusts providing foundation training, and there are quality control visits to ensure that this is the case. What is important for your future career is to make the most of the opportunities you have during your foundation training.11. Are there enough F2 posts for everyone in F1? Yes. There are more F2 posts than F1 posts, giving F1 trainees greater choice. The more choices you make the greater your chances of securing one of your preferences. If you fail to secure one of your preferred posts the Foundation School will identify a programme which most closely resembles your original choice from one of the unallocated programmes. 12. How much will I be paid during my F2 year? You should assume that you will receive the nationally agreed basic salary. 13. Will accommodation be provided for my F2 programme? There is no statutory requirement for trusts to provide this free of charge. Trusts can advise about local accommodation and may have accommodation available, but there will usually be a charge for this.14. When will I be starting my F2 post? On 1 August 2007.15. When is the closing date for applications? January 29th 2007 16. How and when will I be informed of my allocation? Early April 2007 17. Are Portfolios and Assessments taken into account during the allocation process? No. Your portfolio and assessments are not taken into account during the allocation to your F2 post. The decision is based on the information you produce on your application form.18. If none of my 60 choices are available, what do I do? In the unlikely event that you are not allocated one of your 60 (or more) preferences the Foundation School will identify a programme which most closely resembles your original choice from one of the unfilled programmesIMPORTANT INFO FOR THOSE APPLYING DIRECTLY TO FY2(i.e. not already FY1s in NETFS)The vast majority of FY2 jobs are automatically filled by the promotion of FY1 doctors. There is sometimes an imbalance between the amount of FY1 jobs and the amount of FY2 jobs. These FY2 jobs are advertised via the trusts themselves and not by the foundation school or via MTAS. These Jobs will be advertised by the trusts themselves. The foundation school will not be able to provide you with any more information about these jobs should they become available.Due to staff illness / absence etc these jobs may be advertised at anytime but we suggest that the bulk of the "spare" jobs will be advertised in the spring.STOP PRESS: Due to the exeptional circumstances of the ST application process this year any unfilled FY2 jobs (headroom posts) are likely to be reviewed and the possibility of them being incorporated as ST1 jobs / FTSA jobs. If this becomes the case it is highly unlikely that any stand alone FY2 positions will be advertised by trusts etc. For more information please look at 1) Individual trust websites2) BMJ careers3) "NHS jobs"last updated 16/5/07bye
